Reporting requirements

Training providers must use the SVTS to report all student statistical data and claims for funding. Reporting is in accordance with the requirements in:

  • your provider’s VET funding contract
  • the Victorian VET student statistical collection guidelines.

Department staff with access to the SVTS are able to upload data and control claim payments on behalf of their training provider.

Training organisations that are registered by a different statutory authority or body must also report their training activity. For example, Learn Local Organisations registered by the ACFE Board.

Training organisations that do not have a contractual obligation or other directive to report to us, can report data to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research. Use their AVS tool to reportExternal Link .

Recipient Created Tax Invoices and/or Remittance Advice delays

We are aware that some training providers are yet to receive Recipient Created Tax Invoices (RCTIs) and/or Remittance Advice for recent payments remitted in May and June 2022. Please note that all efforts are being made to ensure that these documents are sent to those effected, as soon as possible.
