Engaging young people in bushfire recovery

Emergency Recovery Victoria has partnered with the Department of Education and Training and the Youth Affairs Council Victoria to develop a resource that supports young people to lead their own recovery. In early November A Seat at the Table: Young People and Disaster Recovery was launched.

A Seat at the Table: Young People and Disaster Recovery is a suite of resources that provides a youth voice and perspective to government, recovery organisations, business and community in relation to disaster preparedness, response and recovery.

ERV is committed to hearing young people’s voices at all stages of recovery and is proud to have partnered with Youth Affairs Council Victoria and Department of Education to develop this resource including three how-to factsheets.
