New industry and regional profiles for students and learners

The Victorian Skills Authority (VSA) is excited to introduce Training and careers in Victoria’s growing industries, a new online resource for job seekers, career changers, students, teachers, parents and career advisers.

The easy to navigate platform provides a wealth of information and has been developed to provide insights into training and skills for high-demand industries across Victoria, including localised training, career opportunities and support services. Information is also available about jobs with current shortages, future job forecasts, and the training and skills needed to move into or up-skill in high-demand industries across the state.

Key features include the following:

  • Industry profiles
    Featuring detailed information on 15 high-demand industries in Victoria, highlighting key occupations and providing a glimpse into the vocational landscape. 
  • Melbourne profiles and Regional Victoria profiles
    Includes dedicated sections for 13 Victorian regions, offering localised information to help users make informed decisions based on their area.
  • Training and career stories 
    Showcasing the inspiring stories of 25 Victorians who have taken a vocational education and training pathway to build or advance their careers.
  • Job market insights
    Offering valuable information on immediate employment opportunities, future job trends, and the vocational training pathways to pursue them.
