Supporting Victorian Government data sharing

COVID-19 and other pressing needs highlight the importance of government sharing and using data to support better decisions. As policy work becomes more fast-paced and citizens expect increasingly responsive and integrated services, it is even more important that government can share data in a responsive way, while ensuring this is done safely and securely.

We support data sharing across government in key ways, including through the:

• Victorian Data Sharing Act 2017
• Victorian Public Sector Data Sharing Framework
• Intergovernmental Agreement on Data Sharing, to help share data between the Commonwealth, and States and Territory governments.
