The VSA recently sponsored the annual Adult and Community Education (ACE) Victoria conference to showcase our organisation to delegates, and support this important local learning sector which has a positive educational, social and economic impact on individuals and communities.
Held at Swinburne TAFE’s Hawthorn campus on 14 June 2024, the conference provided a great opportunity for the industry, including trainers and staff from Learn Local providers and registered training organisations, to learn how to build capacity and deliver high-quality programs and projects.
By applying new thought processes and structures, the aim of the conference, and the theme, was to ‘Inspire, innovate and strengthen’, so that together more local opportunities are created.
Stephanie and Owen from the VSA’s Engagement team were on hand to promote the VSA’s key products, services and initiatives which are designed to help Victorians get skilled and employed. These include :
- Victorian Skills Plan for 2023 into 2024 and the Implementation Update
- Victorian Skills Gateway(opens in a new window)
- TAFE and Training Line (enquiries by phone, chat and email)
- Skills and Jobs Centres
- Online resources for regional and industry profiles including in-demand careers and case studies.
It was great to see how keen the delegates were to engage with the VSA, and we’re very proud to hear that the Learn Local sector really value their relationships with our TAFEs and dual-sector universities – and we feel the same way!
