Rebecca Hope, the recipient of the Victorian Trainee of the Year award at the 2023 Victorian Training Awards, was recently featured in an interview with the Victorian Connection. Rebecca reflected on her journey in Victorian vocational education and training, emphasising how she hasn’t let autism and anxiety hinder her educational success.

Despite having previously found it hard to attend school, Rebecca recounted completing multiple TAFE courses, including Animal Studies, Applied Learning, Community Services, and Work Education. Rebecca attributed her progress to finding the courage to ask for help, a decision that enabled her to get to where she is today.

The annual Victorian Training Awards program is run by the Victorian Skills Authority, and we are proud of Rebecca and her achievements.
