Thank you for participating in the launch of Child Link. Your involvement will provide crucial feedback to help support the wellbeing, safety and support needs of children in Victoria.
This page contains resources to help you complete training to use Child Link, and steps to support you to gain access to the platform.
Getting started with Child Link

Child Link is a specialised tool with access limited to key individuals with responsibility for child wellbeing and safety inside their organisation.
Mandatory training is required to access Child Link and use the platform appropriately and safely.This includes a requirement that Child Link Users complete prerequisite Information Sharing and Family Violence Reforms training, and undertake a dedicated Child Link User training course.

Note: Child Protection and ACAC staff should complete information sharing training through the DFFH Learning Management System. -
Once you have completed Child Link User training please notify your Child Link Authoriser and provide them with the name that appears on your Working With Children Clearance (WWWC), or on your Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration, or equivalent.
Your Child Link Authoriser will then create your Child Link User profile and you will receive an email with the subject line Your Invitation to Join Child Link.
You will also be prompted to create a password and set up two factor authentication before being asked to finalise your registration as a Child Link User. -
Click on the link in your Child Link invitation and follow the prompts to complete your Child Link User registration. Please note that this link expires after seven days.
You will be required to provide your Working With Children Clearance (WWWC) number, or your Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or equivalent, as well as your Child Link User training receipt number when completing your Child Link User registration.Dedicated onboarding support is available on 1800 549 646 if you encounter any technical difficulties when completing the registration process.

Congratulations! Once you have completed your Child Link User registration you will be able to log on and start using Child Link.
Practice guidance is also available within the Help section inside Child Link, in addition to the support resources and materials provided during Child Link training.
Dedicated onboarding support is available on 1800 549 646 if you encounter any technical difficulties using the platform, or have any questions related to Child Link policy, practice or training.
Please note: Child Link Users are required to abide by the terms and conditions for access to Child Link at all times.

The Child Information Sharing Reforms
The Child Information Sharing reforms are providing Victorian child and family service professionals with important tools to help them protect and promote the wellbeing and safety of Victorian children.
Authorised health, education and family service professionals are now able to request and share information to better meet the needs of children and their families and create a more collaborative and integrated service and support system.

Access Child Link
If you have completed all the Child Link training and registration steps, you can click on the following links to access the appropriate Child Link portal.
Child Link User portal Child Link Authoriser portal
Child Link Authorisers who are also Child Link Users
To complete actions in your role as an Authoriser please select the Child Link Authoriser . To complete actions as a Child Link User, please use the Child Link User . After logging in to each portal, you can then move between both portals through menu options, without having to login separately. A reminder that both portals will log you out after five minutes inactivity.
