The ACFE Board wishes to recognise the talents of the Learn Local workforce and build them further as this is primary to the achievement of Learn Local sector goals.

This is the purpose of the Learn Local Professional Practice Recognition Framework which has now been completed with significant input from Learn Local providers.

The Framework identifies the full array of professional practices performed in providing quality language, literacy, numeracy, employability, and digital skills within pre-accredited education and training programs to adult Victorians in need of such skills for further study, work, and life gains.

There also is a Framework tool application that enables Learn Local staff to self-assess their current skills and knowledge against the Framework and identify the practices they would like to build further.

The results of the self-assessments will also be collated in an anonymous manner to inform the ACFE Board’s annual professional development plans for Learn Local providers for 2024 and beyond.

As part of the rollout to the sector of the Framework and Self-Assessment Tool, professional development sessions are being offered on these dates by the developers, Escalier McLean Consulting.

There will be five sessions offered via a Zoom webinar. Each session will cover the same material. Sessions are offered at a variety of times and dates to allow choice for participants.
