Victorian Freight Decarbonisation Co-investment Fund
The Victorian Freight Plan – includes actions to help the freight industry decarbonise.
An $8 million Freight Decarbonisation Co-Investment Fund is helping small and medium-sized truck operators to trial and transition to low-emission equipment.
The fund will also create new tools to help industry to assess and track their carbon emissions to encourage decarbonisation.
Further funding will support a range of freight decarbonisation and air quality activities over the next two years.
Local road sealing program
A further $3 million was invested to seal more roads in Melbourne’s west.
This is in addition to the $5 million to seal roads in Altona, Brooklyn North and Yarraville.
We’ve worked with Hobsons Bay, Brimbank and Maribyrnong City Councils to deliver works on local roads.
These projects helped progress two priority recommendations from the report prepared by the Inner West Air Quality Community Reference Group - Air Pollution in Melbourne's Inner West - taking direct action to reduce our community's exposure(opens in a new window).
