The 2022 Recognition of Service ceremony was held on Sunday 19 June inside the Savoy Ballroom at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne.

Over 200 long-serving staff from across Victoria were recognised for their dedication and loyalty of service to public education. You can hear their stories in our featured videos below.

About the ceremony

The Recognition of Service ceremony is an annual event that recognises and celebrates dedication, loyalty and longevity of service to the Department of Education.

Service recognition is awarded at a state level each year for staff who have achieved 40 years, 45 years, 50 years, 55 years and, in some cases, 60 years of service. Regional offices coordinate service recognition ceremonies for staff who have achieved 35 years of service.
