The history of Aringa State School

    Aringa opened as a common school in 1870. The first two head teachers were Samuel Alford and Robert Craig.

    The school became a state school at some stage between 1873 and 1878.

    The school closed in 1882 and remained closed for 34 years.

    Aringa State School re-opened in 1916.

  • 1945

    The school closed permanently in 1945.
