The history of Graham's Hill State School
1868
Graham's Hill opened as common school in 1868.
The first head teacher was Michael A. McCormack.
Classes were held in a rented building.
The average number of students attending the school in 1868 was 46 (24 girls and 22 boys).
1870s
The school became a state school at some stage between 1873 and 1878.
In 1877, the wooden schoolhouse was large enough for 85 children and there was a six-room head teacher's house.
1893
Graham's Hill State School closed in 1893.
