Under the Liquor Control Reform Regulations 2023, the renewal fee for a late night (general) licence is calculated using the formula:
Renewal fee = base fee for a late night (general) licence + risk fees (if applicable)
Star rating discounts on renewal fees
- Venues with a 4 star rating receive a 5% discount.
- Venues with a 5 star rating receive a 10% discount.

Determine your indicative renewal fee
Follow the steps below to determine your indicative renewal fee.
These steps do not cover licences that have incurred at least one demerit point between 1 October 2022 and 30 September 2025.
If your late night (general) licence has incurred at least one demerit point, your renewal fee will include both a base fee and an additional non-compliance risk fee. If this applies to your licence, please refer to the Non-compliance risk fee section on the How your renewal fee is calculated page.
