Under the Liquor Control Reform Regulations 2023, the renewal fee for a renewable limited liquor licence is calculated using the formula:
Renewal fee = base fee for a renewable limited licence + risk fees (if applicable).
Your indicative renewal fee
The base fee for the renewable limited liquor licence is $381.30.
- Venues with a 4-star rating receive a 5% discount.
- Venues with a 5-star rating receive a 10% discount.
To find your star rating, search for your licence on Liquor Licences and Applications Online.
For more information on how your venue’s star rating is calculated, see Demerit point and star rating systems for liquor licensing.
Your renewal fee for your renewable limited liquor licence will likely be one of the following*:
$381.30 (when no discount applicable)
or
$362.24 (with a 4-star rating 5% discount applied),
or
$343.17 (with a 5-star rating 10% discount applied).
* The above renewal fees do not cover renewable limited licences that have incurred at least one demerit point between 1 October 2022 and 30 September 2025.
If your renewable limited licence has incurred at least one demerit point, your renewal fee will include a base fee and a non-compliance risk fee. If this applies to your licence, please refer to the Non-compliance risk fee section on the How your renewal fee is calculated page.
