The history of Running Creek State School

  • 1870

    Running Creek opened as a common school in 1870. The first head teacher was John D. Young and the average attendance was 40 (20 girls and 20 boys).

    It was located in a mining township approximately 20 km from Bright.

  • 1903

    The school closed in 1903.
