The history of Bulla Primary School
1854
Bulla opened in 1854 near the bluestone bridge across Deep Creek. The first head teachers were Edmund Harrison and William Sanders. There were 69 students.
The schoolhouse was made from bluestone.
1862
Bulla became a common school in 1862.
1870s
A weatherboard room was added to the schoolhouse in 1870 and a swing bridge was built over Deep Creek.
The school became a state school at some stage between 1873 and 1878.
1970
The school was renamed Bulla Primary School in 1970.
1996
The school closed in 1996.
