Planned works
Building our modern network does involve some short-term pain for long-term gain.
To ease the impacts of a decade-long construction boom on people’s daily journeys and the economy, we are working with the Major Transport Infrastructure Authority and its agencies to deliver major projects.
We’re using customers’ insights to understand the pain points, and improving communications to ensure people are aware of their best options at any time of day while making sure the effects in one area aren’t amplified by work elsewhere on the network.
During periods of major disruption, we encourage you to plan ahead and consider all your transport options.
Flexible work may not suit everyone’s role. If you do travel during the peak, or on a bus-replacement service, please allow extra time.
