The history of Bolinda Primary School

  • 1870

    Bolinda opened as a common school in 1870. It replaced Bolinda Vale (No. 88). The school building was made of American pine timber and had a shingle roof. It has an attached teacher's residence.

  • 1870s

    The school became a state school at some stage between 1873 and 1878. 

  • 1882

    An extra acre was added to the school grounds in 1882.

  • 1900

    46 students were enrolled in 1900

  • 1911

    A new teacher's residence was provided in 1911. There were 48 students enrolled at the time. 

  • 1970

    The school was renamed Bolinda Primary School in 1970.

  • 2022

    Bolinda Primary School is still in operation.
