The history of Inverleigh Primary School

    Inverleigh was opened by the Presbyterian Church as a common school in 1872. The first head teacher was D. Campbell. 

  • 1873

    The school became a state school in 1873. 

  • 1912

    A teacher's residence was added in 1912. 

  • 1956

    The school was extended in 1956. 

  • 1970

    The school was renamed Inverleigh Primary School in 1970.

  • 2022

    Inverleigh Primary School is still in operation.
