The history of Koroit And District Primary School

  • 1857

    Koroit opened in 1857. The school was located on what is now the Victoria Park Recreation Reserve. There were 25 students enrolled. 

  • 1878

    The school became a state school in 1878. It moved to a new site on Boundary Road in a new building. The head teacher at the time was A. Abercombie.

  • 1970

    The school was renamed Koroit Primary School in 1970.

  • 1981

  • 2022

    Koroit and District Primary School is still in operation.
