On Tuesday, 9 May 2023, the Lieutenant-Governor made regulations to change architects registration fees.

The objective of resetting registration fees is to ensure that the Architects Registration Board of Victoria can deliver its regulatory services to meet government, industry and community expectations effectively.

Key industry stakeholders including the Australian Institute of Architects, Association of Consultation Architects Australia and ArchiTeam were closely consulted and provided input into the new fee structure proposed by the Architects Registration Board of Victoria.

Income from the fees will enable the Architects Registration Board of Victoria to continue to regulate, educate and engage to ensure architectural services are delivered according to high professional standards and contribute to improved building outcomes for the benefit of industry and the community.

An updated fee schedule for 2023-24 will be published on the ARBV website before the commencement of the registration renewal period.
